Few weeks after we met Zsófia aka Piresian Beach in Budapest, she delivers a brand new EP Parttalan

** Premiere – Piresian BeachParttalan EP **

I am pleased to announce the release of a new Pieresian Beach EP! Being such a huge fan of Piresian Beach, I cannot be more honored to help release her latest EP. One of my favorite artists of 2010, or of any time for that matter, she manages to intrigue me with every new song. From the first time I heard her voice to the songs collected on “Parttalan”, she just gets better and better.

“Parttalan”, in Hungarian, roughly means “shoreless (pointless, leading nowhere)”. The songs are murky, infectious, and deep with her signatures kissed throughout: dark, alluring vocals, haunted guitars, distortion, and lots of reverb. Drums pound, guitars wail, and echo undulates throughout the works created here. There’s a playfulness in the some of the lyrics as they create a juxtaposition to the vexing, smoky music. Her vocals seem to drift “nowhere” as the title suggests, descending further and deeper. Misty, fuzzy, and captivating darkfi from the mistress of the swamp.
